2019-1654 RESOLUTION NO. 2019 — 1654
WHEREAS, Brian Foster is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having diligently served
the City of Janesville and the community for 26 years, retiring as a Specialist and Police School
Liaison Officer with the Janesville Police Department; and
WHEREAS, during Brian Foster's employment with the City of Janesville, he provided exemplary
professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of his position, which he
performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and
WHEREAS, Brian Foster began his employment with the City of Janesville as a Police Officer with
the Janesville Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Brian Foster was involved in a variety of assignments during his career including Police
School Liaison Officer, D.R.O.P Officer, School Resource Officer, Specialist, Street Crimes Unit, First
Shift Police Officer, SWAT Sniper, Field Training Officer, and Third Shift Police Officer; and
WHEREAS, Brian Foster received the City's Mighty Oak Award in June 2015, the Janesville Police
Department's Meritorious Service Citation in 2018, and the Exemplary Service Citation in 2015; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly
recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City
Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Brian Foster for his 26 years of loyal public service.
