RESOLUTION NO. 2004-35
A resolution vacating a frontage access road adjoining property at 2813 Humes Road.
WHEREAS, a frontage access road adjoining property at 2813 Humes Road hereinafter designated and
previously dedicated for right-of-way purposes is hereby determined to be no longer needed for public
use, and therefore, the public interest requires the vacation of such street portion; and
WHEREAS, the proposed street vacation has been referred to the Plan Commission for its consideration
and report as required by 62.23(5), Wisconsin Statutes; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the vacation of such street portion and notice required by
Wisconsin Statutes 66.296 has been timely published and served.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JANESVILLE that the following described street portion be and is hereby vacated and discontinued
pursuant to 66.296 and 66.22(lm), Wisconsin Statutes:
A parcel of land in the SW!j.¡ of Section 17, T.3N., R.13E. of the 4th P.M., City of Janesville, Rock
County, Wisconsin, described as follows:
Commencing at the SW comer of Lot 3 of Certified Survey Map Document Number 1198104 recorded
on June 3, 1993, in Volume 16, Pages 345-347 of Certified Survey Maps of Rock County, Wisconsin, and
point of beginning; thence N.6°6'7"E. 33.0 feet; thence N.58°8'20"W. 87.0 feet; thence N.69°1 '50"W.
100 feet to the SW comer of Lot 2 of said Certified Survey Map; thence S.6°06'07"W. 51.7 feet; thence
S.6906'51 "E. 181.1 feet more or less to the point of beginning. Said parcel contains 0.19 acre.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City retains an easement for maneuvering of City maintenance
and/or safety vehicles over the western 100 feet of the above-described area.
