Study Session of the City Council of the City of Janesville held in the Municipal Building on July 26,
2004. The meeting was called to order by Council President Steeber at 8:45 p.m.
Present: Council President Steeber, Councilmembers Tim Wellnitz, Williams, DeGarmo, Brien,
Tom Wellnitz and Addie.
The Council continued their review and discussed changes to the City's Goals and Objectives.
Councilmember Brien requested that a youth in government initiative be added to the goals and
objectives and implemented in 2005. By consensus, the Council added his request to the goals
and objectives under category 1 sub F. Councilmember Tim Wellnitz requested the Council
require all committees and boards to begin their meetings between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The
majority of the Council stated that the meeting schedules should not be changed. Councilmember
Tim Wellnitz requested the Council annually review one department. By consensus, the Council
agreed to review trash recycling.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 9:35p.m.
