An ordinance annexing territory in Section 7, T.3N., R.13E. of the 4th P.M., Town of
Harmony, Rock County, Wisconsin.
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of all the land within such territory proposed to
be annexed has been filed with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing in the territory; and
WHEREAS, the necessary notices have been duly prepared, provided and served as required
by law to all persons affected; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance does not contain temporary zoning; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administration has not found the proposed annexation to be
against the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has determined that this annexation is in the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The territory described as follows is hereby annexed to the City of Janesville.
PART OF THE NW. ¼ AND SW. ¼ OF SECTION 7, T.3N., R.13E. OF THE 4TM P.M.,
HARMONY TOWNSHIP, ROCK COUNTY, WISCONSIN.
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: Commencing at the NW. corner of said Section 7; thence
S.87°27'35"E. along the North line of the NW. ¼ of said Section, 33.06 feet to the East line of
Newville road, also being at the beginning for the land to be herein described; thence continuing
S.87°27'35"E. along said North line, 1875.43 feet to the NW. corner of the East ¼ of the NE. ¼
of said NW. ¼ of said Section; thence S.0°30'49"E. along the West line of the East ¼ of said
NE. ¼ of said NW. ¼ of said Section, 1335.9 feet; thence N.89°06'39"E. 124.06 feet to the
Westerly R.O.W. (right-of-way) line of Interstate 90; thence S.0°45'06"E. along said R.O.W. line,
536.47 feet to a point of curve; thence Southerly, continuing along said R.O.W. line, along a
curve convexed Westerly, 894.44 feet, having a radius of 5854.65 feet and a chord bearing
S.12°09'06"E. 893.57 feet to the Westerly line of relocated Kennedy Road; thence
Southwesterly, along said Westerly line, along a curve convexed Southeasterly, 45.40 feet,
having a radius of 709.49 feet and a chord bearing S.34°09'32'~/. 45.40 feet; thence
S.36°15'01"W. continuing along said Westerly line, 282.18 feet to a point of curve; thence
Southwesterly, continuing along said Westerly line, along a curve convexed Northwesterly,
46.25 feet, having a radius of 819.49 feet and a chord bearing S.34°38'37"W. 46.24 feet; thence
N.56°58'06"W. 52.64 feet; thence N.0°38'06"W. 448.03 feet to the Easterly extension of the
North line of a Certified Survey Map as recorded in Volume 10, Pages 311 and 312; thence
S.89°05'16"W. along said extension and said North line, 727.19 feet to the NW. corner of said
Certified Survey Map; thence S.0°33'05"E. along the West line of said Certified Survey Map,
614.05 feet to the North line of Lot 74 of Harmony Grove, a recorded subdivision; thence

line of said Lot, and its Westerly extension, 210.45 feet to the West Right-Of-Way line of
Newville Road; thence N.0°53'19'~/. along said West line, 544.0 feet; thence N.89°06'41"E.
66.0 feet to the East line of Newville Road; thence N.0°53'19'¥V. along said East line, 387.91
feet; thence N.0°48'31"W. continuing along said East line, 2651.91 feet to the place of
beginning. Containing 137.91 acres.
SECTION II. After this annexation becomes effective, the above described property shall be
exempt from and not subject to further taxation and assessments in the Town of Harmony and
thence forth shall be subject to taxation and assessment as part of the City of Janesville for any
and all purpose provided by law.
SECTION II1. All the territory annexed by this ordinance is hereby made part of Ward 24 of the
City of Janesville.
SECTION IV. There are no residents in the area proposed for annexation.
SECTION V. The annexation area is within the Milton School District.
SECTION VI. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
