2019-1609 RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - 1609 Whereas, Kevin Updike is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having diligently served the people of the City and the community for 32 years, retiring as an Operator 2 in the Operations Division of Public Works; and Whereas, during Kevin Updike's employment with the City of Janesville, he provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and Whereas, Kevin Updike began his employment with the City of Janesville as a Mechanic I in the Streets Department in January of 1986; and Whereas, Kevin Updike held numerous positions in the Public Works Department including Mechanic I, Mechanic II, and Operator II in the Streets Division, Leadman 1, Equipment Operator II, Leadman II in Technical Services Division; and Operator II in the Operations Division, the position he held until his retirement; and Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly recognized. Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Kevin Updike for his 32 years of loyal public service.
