2019-1608 RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - 1608
Whereas, Wayne Cornwell is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City and the community for 26 years; retiring as a
Crew Leader in the Parks Division of Public Works; and
Whereas, during Wayne Cornwell's employment with the City of Janesville, he provided
exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties
of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
Whereas, Wayne Cornwell began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Sanitary Equipment Operator in the Streets Department in July of 1992; and
Whereas, Wayne Cornwell held numerous positions in the Public Works Department
including Sanitary Equipment Operator and Equipment Operator I in the Streets
Division, and Ground Maintenance III, Leadman I, Leadman II, Working Foreman and
Crew Leader in the Parks Division, which is the position Wayne Cornwell held until his
retirement; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville, through the
City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Wayne Cornwell for his 26 years
of loyal public service.
