A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A MEDAL OF HONOR WALKWAY IN TRAXLER PARK
WHEREAS, the Janesville City Council has previously adopted File Resolution # 2004-
008 which authorized the Janesville Patriotic Society to pursue the feasibility of creating a Medal
of Honor Walkway; and
WHEREAS, said resolution required the Janesville Patriotic Society present final plans
to the Common Council before the project is undertaken; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the Medal of Honor Walkway as presented to the
Common Council is in the best interest of the City of Janesville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of
Janesville, that the Janesville Patriotic Society is authorized to begin fund raising activities for
the purpose of constructing a Medal of Honor Walkway in Veteran's Plaza at Traxler Park in
accordance with the submitted design plans.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Common Council that the north loop road at
Traxler Park shall be named "Medal of Honor Circle"..
