2018-726 REVISED ORDINANCE NO. 2018-726 An ordinance changing and establishing the zoning classification of property located south and adjoining property located at 3236 US Highway 51 to B3, General Commercial District. THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is established as B3, General Commercial District: Part of the NE '/4 of the SE % of Section 14, T.2N., R.12E., Rock Township, Rock County, Wisconsin, described as follows: commencing at an iron pipe in the intersection of the Westerly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 51 with the South line of said NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 14, said pipe being 52.64 feet West of the Southeast comer of said NE % of the SE 1/4; thence North along the Westerly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 51, 140 feet to the place of beginning for the land to be herein described; thence West, parallel to the South line of said NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4, 280 feet; thence North, parallel with the Westerly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 51, 200 feet; thence East parallel with the South line of said NE 1/4 of the 1/4, 280 feet to the Westerly right-of-way line U.S. Highway 51; thence South along the Westerly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 51, 200 feet to the point of beginning; EXCEPTING THEREFROM, the Northerly 50 feet thereof; FURTHER EXCEPTING THEREFROM, all that part thereof conveyed to the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation by a Warranty Deed dated April 25, 1991 and recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds for Rock County, Wisconsin on May 17, 1991 on Card 478, Images 829-831, as Document No. 1133216. Containing .89 acres. SECTION V. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police power so requiring.
