2018-1564 FILE RESOLUTION NO. 2018-1564
A resolution in commendation of the many individuals and organizations involved in the
2018 Tour of America's Ciairyland Janesville Town Square Gran Prix_
WHEREAS, on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, the 10`' Annual Tour of America's Dairyland bike race
made its first stop in Janesville; and
WHEREAS, the series of races brought 489 bicyclists, over 1,000 spectators, and 125
volunteers to downtown Janesville; and
WHEREAS, this major community event had a significant economic impact on Janesville and
nurtured a sense of community in the downtown; and
WHEREAS, without the many event organizers, sponsors, and supporting organizations and
individuals, this major and positive event would not have been successful; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such efforts be commended by the City of Janesville; and
WHEREAS, the contributing individuals and organizations include:

WHEREAS, individuals and businesses that had their typical routines interrupted in support of
this community event should also be commended.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Janesville to
recognize the many individuals and organizations involved in the 2018 Tour of America's
Dairyland Janesville Town Square Gran Prix.
