2018-1559 RESOLUTION NO. 2018 — 1559 Whereas, Diana McDonald is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for over 18 years, retiring as a Reference Librarian in the Hedberg Public Library; and Whereas, during Diana McDonald's employment with the City of Janesville, she provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of her position, which she performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and Whereas, Diana McDonald was first employed by the City of Janesville with Hedberg Public Library in March of 1989 and was later rehired on January 11 , 2000; and Whereas, Diana McDonald was involved in a variety of assignments during her tenures at the Hedberg Public Library, most recently as a Reference Librarian, which is the position she held until her retirement; and Whereas, Diana McDonald received a certificate of appreciation for sharing her expertise as a program presenter at the Wisconsin Library Association 2011 Conference, to UW-Madison School of Library and Information Studies Alumnae, and for her participation in the College Goal Wisconsin events, and Whereas, Diana McDonald helped many Janesville residents improve their skills through her Introduction to Computers, Word Processing Basics, Email, and other computer classes; and Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly recognized; Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Diana McDonald for her more than eighteen years of loyal public service.
