2018-1565 RESOLUTION NO. 2018 — 1565
Whereas, Daniel Thompson is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for over twenty-
seven years, retiring as a Driver with the Janesville Fire Department; and
Whereas, during Daniel Thompson's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
Whereas, Daniel Thompson began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Firefighter/Paramedic with the Janesville Fire Department in October of 1990; and
Whereas, Daniel Thompson was involved in a variety of assignments during his tenure
in the Fire Department, including Firefighter, Paramedic, Engine Paramedic, and Motor
Pump Operator; and
Whereas, Daniel Thompson served the department as a recruit trainer, and as a
department dive team member for 12 years; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville, through the
City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Daniel Thompson for his twenty-
seven years of loyal public service.
