2018-1561 RESOLUTION NO. 2018-1561
A resolution authorizing the acceptance of a donation of a pavilion at the Palmer
Park tennis courts.
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville was approached by Friends of Patrick W. Ryan on a
proposal to construct a pavilion at the Palmer Park tennis courts in honor of Patrick W.
Ryan; and
WHEREAS, the project will be funded in its entirety by the proposing group; and
WHEREAS, the pavilion will provide shade and a viewing area for players and
spectators; and
WHEREAS, the proposed pavilion has been given a positive endorsement by the Parks
and Recreation Advisory Committee and the Plan Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council hereby find that a pavilion at the Palmer Park tennis
courts would be a valuable amenity to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Janesville, that the Janesville City Council do hereby accept the donation of a pavilion
at the Palmer Park tennis courts.
