2018-1507 RESOLUTION NO. 2018-1507 A resolution granting a utility easement to AT&T on City-owned property located at 1005 Ruger Avenue. WHEREAS, the City of Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin, is the owner of property known as lot 12 of the Court Subdivision located in the SW '/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 30, T3N, R13E, in the 4th P.M., City of Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin; WHEREAS, AT&T has requested that the City grant them the requested easement to facilitate the installation of above ground telecommunications equipment across property owned by the City to accommodate the reconfiguration of the intersection of Ruger Avenue and E Court Street; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Engineering Divisions have determined that the location of the proposed easement does not conflict with the current or planned future use of city-owned lands in the easement areas; and WHEREAS, the Janesville Plan Commission, pursuant to Section 62.23, Wisconsin Statutes, reviewed the granting of this easement to AT&T and found it to be consistent with City plans but did not review the financial aspects of the transaction; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and City Clerk of the City of Janesville are hereby authorized to negotiate, draft, enter into, and execute, on behalf of the City of Janesville, the proposed easement between the City and AT&T, and prepare, file and record such other documents, forms, and papers pertaining to this transaction as the City Manager may, from time to time, find necessary or desirable to effectuate the intent of this resolution and/or easement.
