2018-1485 RESOLUTION NO. 2018 — 1485
Whereas, Keith Lawyer is retiring from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for thirty
years; retiring as a Police Lieutenant in the Patrol Division with the Janesville Police
Department; and
Whereas, during Keith Lawyer's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty,
and dedication; and
Whereas, Keith Lawyer began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Police Officer with the Janesville Police Department; and
Whereas, Keith Lawyer was involved in a variety of assignments during his
career including Police School Liaison Officer, Police Sergeant Patrol Division, Police
Sergeant Investigations Division, Police Lieutenant Patrol Division, Police Lieutenant
Investigations Division, Emergency Response Team, SWAT Team Commander,
Defense and Arrest Tactics Instructor; and
Whereas, Keith Lawyer received the Janesville Police Department's Meritorious
Service Citation in 1998; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville
be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Keith Lawyer for his
thirty years of loyal public service.
