2017-1415 RESOLUTION NO. 2017 — 1415
Whereas, Daniel Cassidy is retiring from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for
twenty-nine years; retiring as a Driver in the Janesville Fire Department; and
Whereas, during Daniel Cassidy's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty,
and dedication; and
Whereas, Daniel Cassidy began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Firefighter/Paramedic in 1988; and
Whereas, Daniel Cassidy worked in the Janesville Fire Department, for his entire
career with the City of Janesville and was involved in a variety of assignments during
that time including firefighter, paramedic, engine paramedic, driver, recruit trainer, driver
trainer, and dive team member; and
Whereas, Daniel Cassidy was twice awarded the Mighty Oak Award for his
strong roots in the community, ability to withstand personal and professional trials due
to inherent moral values, and his multi-talented service to the City; and
Whereas, Daniel Cassidy served for many years on the Department's Health and
Safety Committee and was a tireless advocate for firefighter health and safety;
and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville
be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Daniel Cassidy for his
twenty-nine years of loyal public service.
