An ordinance amending penaltyprovisionsfor curfew violations to include supervised work
or community service as set forth in amended Section 9. 50. 050(B) .
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.
Section 9.50.050(B) is hereby renumbered to Section 9.50.050(C).
SECTION II. Section 9.50.050(B) of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Janesville is hereby created to as follows:
" (B) The Court may order, in lieu of or in addition to a monetary forfeiture as provided in this
section, that the child participate in a supervised work program or community service program as
available and as permitted and ordered by the court and as allowed by Wis. Stat. Sec. 938.343 and
Wis. Stat. Sec. 938.34(5g) as from time to time amended, revised or renumbered, and upon a failure
to comply with any such order, the child shall be subject to the remedies and alternatives for non-
compliance, as provided by law for children including but not limited to the forfeiture provided in
Section 9.50.050(A) of this ordinance."
SECTION II!. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption, the health,
welfare, safety, peace and good order of the community so requiring.
