2017-1381 RESOLUTION NO. 2017 — 1381 Whereas, Chris Armstrong is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more than twenty-three years; retiring as a Patrol Officer with the Janesville Police Department; and Whereas, during Chris Armstrong's employment with the City of Janesville, he provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and Whereas, Chris Armstrong began his employment with the Janesville Police Department as a Patrol Officer; and Whereas, Chris Armstrong was involved in a variety of assignments during his career including B Shift Uniform Patrol, Special Operations Unit, A Shift Uniform Patrol, SWAT Team, and Bicycle Patrol Unit; and Whereas, Chris Armstrong received Janesville Police Department Chief's Commendations in January of 1996 and May of 2012; and Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly recognized; Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Chris Armstrong for his more than twenty-three years of loyal public service.
