2017-1379 RESOLUTION NO. 2017 — 1379
Whereas, Gregg Sutherland is retiring from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more
than twenty-seven years; retiring as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Janesville Fire
Department; and
Whereas, during Gregg Sutherland's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty,
and dedication; and
Whereas, Gregg Sutherland began his employment with the Janesville Fire
Department as a firefighter; and
Whereas, Gregg Sutherland was involved in a variety of assignments during his
career including firefighter, paramedic, driver, recruit trainer, preceptor, mentor; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville
be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Gregg Sutherland for
his more than twenty-seven years of loyal public service.
