2017-1382 RESOLUTION NO. 2017-1382
A RESOLUTION REASSIGNING WARDS TO POLLING PLACES
WHEREAS, the voting is an integral part of democracy; and
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville respects the time that residents must sacrifice in order to
vote; and
WHEREAS, voter turnout in the City of Janesville is generally higher than the statewide voter
turnout; and
WHEREAS, the City has identified appropriate polling places that meet needs of the citizens
and will increase the speed and efficiency of voting;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Janesville that it
hereby assigns the City wards to the following polling places.
Ward Numbers Polling Place Assignment
Wards 1, 2, and 31 Washington Elementary School
Wards 3 and 4 City Hall
Wards 5, 6, 33 Franklin Middle School
Wards 7, 8, 9, 10, 30, 32 Edison Middle School
Wards 12, 27, and 28 Blain's Farm and Fleet Training Center
Wards 13, 15 and 29 Hedberg Public Library
Wards 11, 14, and 16 First Lutheran Church
Wards 17 and 18 St. Mark The Evangelist Lutheran Church
Wards 19, 20, 21 and 22 Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
Wards 23, 24, 25 and 26 New Life Assembly of God
