2016-664 ORDINANCE NO. 2016 -664
An ordinance amending Janesville General Ordinance Section 3.20.130 Expenditure of
Room Tax Revenues Collected, with a penalty for violations thereof as set forth in
Section 3.20.140 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 3.20.130 (A) (1) of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Janesville is hereby amended to read as follows:
1. The City shall make payments from time to time during the year of
52.5% of the revenue produced from a 8% room tax rate directly to the
Janesville Area Convention and Visitors ( JACVB) and retain the balance
until the maximum allowed by Act 55 is reached (as illustrated below) at
which time 100% of the 8% room tax shall be remitted to the JACVB.

SECTION II. This ordinance and its fees shall take effect at 12:00 o'clock a.m. on
January 1, 2017, the public interest, welfare, benefit and good so requiring, and the
Common Council so finding.
