2016-665 ORDINANCE NO. 2016 - 665
An ordinance amending licensing requirements and certain fees set forth in JGO 5.04.010,
5.20.030(E), 8.40.040(F), 8.64.170(C), 10.64.030 in the City of Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 5.04.010 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville is
hereby amended to read as follows:
A. Amusements
6. Pool and billiard halls, bowling centers
(Sections 5.72.010 - 5.72.120)
a. Pool and billiard tables each $12.00$8.00 per year
I. Dogs and cats (Section 6.04.020)
1. Keeping of a neutered male or spayed female dog or cat $15.00$40.00 per year
2. Keeping of an unspayed female or unneutered male dog or cat $25.00$20.00 per
year
SECTION 11. Section 5.20.030 (E) of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville
is hereby amended to read as follows:
3. Cart -- Initial License Fee -- $150.00$400:09. Each owner applicant shall pay an
initial cart license fee of $150.00$490.00 per cart at the time of original filing, which
initial fee shall be pro -rated based on the month after July 1 in which the initial
application is filed. The initial application fee is non - refundable.
4. Cart — Annual Renewal Fee -- $150.00$400:89. An annual renewal fee of
$150.00$100.00 per cart thereafter shall be required and paid. The annual renewal
fee is non - refundable.
SECTION 111. Section 8.40.040 (F) of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville
is hereby amended to read as follows:
F. The FIREWORKS DISPLAY PERMIT fee shall be nonrefundable, in the amount
of One HundredTwenty Five Dollars ($100.00$25 -90) and shall not be waived.
SECTION IV. Section 8.64.170 (C) of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville
is hereby amended to read as follows:
C. The annual fee shall be one hundredfiffy dollars ($100.00$50.00) for the first vehicle,
and fiftytwcnty five dollars ($50.00$25.00) for each additional vehicle.
SECTION V. Section 10.64.030 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville is
hereby amended to read as follows:
10.64.030 Identification tag. Upon proper registration and payment of a fiveeee dollar
fee, the police department shall issue a registration sticker for a bicycle, which shall
permit the bicycle to be operated legally upon the streets of the city. The registration
sticker is to be affixed securely upon the bicycle in a prominent place. No further
registration or fee shall be required for use of said bicycle, unless ownership is
transferred to a person who is not a member of the immediate family of the registrant.

SECTION VI. This ordinance shall take effect on December 1, 2016.
