ORDINANCE NO. 2005-298
An Ordinance amending JGO 5.06.040 B. hereby prohibiting Class B alcohol licensed
establishments from locating within 300 feet of licensed day care facilities, with penalties,
injunctive and other relief for violations thereof as set forth in JGO 5.06.470.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 5.06.040 B. of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Janesville is hereby amended to read as follows:
"B. No retail Class B license shall be issued for any premise less than three hundred feet
from any established public school, parochial school, hospital, church, licensed day care
center, or licensed Youth Entertainment Center. This subsection shall not apply to any
premises licensed continuously since June 30, 1947. Nor shall this subsection apply to the
issuance of temporary special event fermented malt beverage licenses."
