2016-1334 RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — 1334
Whereas, Karla King is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having diligently
served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more than twenty -nine years;
retiring as an Administrative Assistant I with the Recreation Division; and
Whereas, during Karla King's employment with the City of Janesville, she provided
exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of her
position, which she performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and
Whereas, Karla King began her employment with the City of Janesville as a part -time
Switchboard Operator in the Finance Department in June of 1987 and became a full -time
Secretary I in the Personnel Department in November of 1987; and
Whereas, Karla has held the positions of Secretary I, Secretary II, and has worked in the
Finance, Personnel (Human Resources) Divisions, former Leisure Services Department and
Recreation Division; and
Whereas, Karla King provided quality customer service related to City parks and
recreation programs and services that contributed to the quality of life for the citizens of
Janesville; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville, through the
City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Karla King for her more than twenty -nine
years of loyal public service.
