A resolution Honoring the late PFC Sean M. Schneider for his courage while
serving the United States of America in Operation Iraqi Freedom
(File Resolution No. 2004-043)
WHEREAS, PFC Sean M. Schneider was born in Janesville, Wisconsin on September
7, 1981; and
WHEREAS, PFC Schneider was a member of the United States Army and served in
Operation Iraqi Freedom as a mechanic for Bradley combat vehicles with the 115th
Forward Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division; and
WHEREAS, PFC Schneider courageously gave his life in Diwaniayh, Iraq on March 29;
and
WHEREAS, PFC Schneider is survived by his wife Yolande, his parents Edward and
Kim Schneider and his brothers Philip and Myles Schneider; and
WHEREAS, a fitting tribute to PFC Schneider's courage and ultimate sacrifice is
appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of
Janesville, on the 2(~th day of April that the City of Janesville honor PFC Sean M.
Schneider for his courage while serving the United States of America in Operation Iraqi
Freedom ;and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council that all Janesville citizens are
called upon to honor the valor and heroism PFC Schneider displayed in serving and
protecting our country.
