RESOLUTION NO. 2004-37
A Resolution authorizing a supplemental appropriation to provide funds for repairs to the Municipal Building
entrance plaza.
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville has a need to repair the Municipal Building entrance plaza, including the
plaza deck, landscape planters, and railing; and
WHEREAS, further damage to the entrance plaza infrastructure could result if repairs are delayed; and
WHEREAS, the 2004 General Fund Public Buildings Program Budget does not contain funds sufficient to
pay the cost of such repairs; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City to provide supplemental
funding for such repairs; and
WHEREAS, it is within the authority of the Common Council, pursuant to Section 65.90(5)(a), Wisconsin
Statutes to authorize and direct such supplemental appropriations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 65.90 (5)(a), Wisconsin Statutes, that the
Common Council of the City of Janesville hereby authorizes and directs that a supplemental appropriation in
the amount of $70,000 be made from the General Fund's Undesignated Fund Balance and placed into the 2004
General Fund Public Buildings Program Budget for repairs to the Municipal Building entrance plaza.
