An ordinance changing the zoning classification of property located within the 500 block
of South Chatham Street from M1 to R2, with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation
thereof as set forth in Section 18.28.010 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed
from M1, Light Industrial District, to R2, Limited General Residence District:
Part of the Southeast ¼ of Section 35, T.3N., R.12E, of the 4th P.M., City of Janesville, Rock
County, Wisconsin, described as follows:
Lots 2, 3, 4, 17, 18, and 19 except railroad property and all of lots 5, 6, 7 and 8 within Block 5 of
Smith's Addition, City of Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
