A resolution for Recognition of Jeff Tellefson for service to the community

WHEREAS, Chief Deputy Jeff Tellefson is retiring from the Rock County Sheriff's
Department after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and Rock
County for thirty years as a Reserve Officer, Deputy Sheriff, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain,
Commander; retiring as Chief Deputy; and
WHEREAS, Chief Deputy Jeff Tellefson is a graduate of Madison Area Technical College,
Milton College and the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater; and
WHEREAS, Chief Deputy Jeff Tellefson is a twenty year retired veteran of the Wisconsin
Army National Guard, 32nd Infantry Brigade (Red Arrow); and
WHEREAS, during Chief Deputy Jeff Tellefson's service to the community, he provided
exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of
his position, which he performed with competence, sincerity, honesty and dedication; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the community and residents of
Janesville be properly recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of
Janesville, that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City Council, do express
their grateful appreciation to Chief Deputy Jeff Tellefson for his thirty years of loyal public
service.
