A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING SUBSTITUTE AGENTS FOR THE CITY OF JANESVILLE TO FILE
OBJECTIONS AND /OR APPEALS, AND REPRESENT THE CITY WITH RESPECT TO SUCH
OBJECTIONS AND APPEALS, CONCERNING MANUFACTURING REAL PROPERTY
ASSESSMENTS FILED ON BEHALF OF BLISS FAMILY, LP AND BLISS COMMUNICATIONS, INC.
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 333 S. WUTHERING HILLS DRIVE AND 1. S. PARKER DRIVE
WHEREAS, on May 9, 2016 the Common Council of the City of Janesville adopted File Resolution No.
2016 -1316 authorizing the City of Janesville to file objections and /or appeals concerning manufacturing
real property assessments filed on behalf of Bliss Family LP and Bliss Communications, Inc. for the
properties located at 333 S. Wuthering Hills Drive and 1 S. Parker Drive in the City of Janesville ( "the
Properties "); and
WHEREAS, said resolution appointed and designated special legal counsel Amie Trupke of Stafford
Rosenbaum LLP as an agent for the City of Janesville to file objections and /or appeals and represent
the City with respect to such objections and appeals ( "the Litigation "); and
WHEREAS, Amie Trupke is no longer employed by Stafford Rosenbaum LLP; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest and benefit to the City to remove Amie Trupke as an agent
authorized to represent the City with respect to all aspects of the Litigation of this matter and to
designate other agent(s) to protect the interests of the City of Janesville; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Janesville that Amie
Trupke is removed as an agent authorized to represent the City in the Litigation and that any attorney
for Stafford Rosenbaum LLP including, but not limited to, Meg Vergeront and Ted Waskowski are
appointed and designated as agents of the City of Janesville to represent the City with respect to all
aspects of the Litigation, including without limitation, with respect to completing, signing, and filing such
objections and /or appeals with the State Board of Assessors and the Tax Appeals Commission on
behalf of the City of Janesville and to take any and all other actions as may be necessary to effectuate
such actions and protect the interest of the City of Janesville, including consulting and advising
regarding the 2015 and 2016 and future year assessments of the Properties, and, at the request of the
City, filing any objections, appeals, petitions for review with the Tax Appeals Commission, and actions
and appeals in court, and representing the City of Janesville therein.
