2016-1328 RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — 1328
Whereas, Brian Donohoue is retiring from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more
than thirty -two years; retiring as a Sergeant with the Janesville Police Department; and
Whereas, during Brian Donohoue's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty,
and dedication; and
Whereas, Brian Donohoue began his employment with the Janesville Police
Department as a Patrol Officer; and
Whereas, Brian Donohoue was involved in a variety of assignments during his
career including C Shift Uniform Patrol, A Shift Uniform Patrol, Field Training Officer,
D.A.R.E. Officer, Patrol Sergeant for A, B and C Shifts, Community Services Sergeant;
and
Whereas, Brian Donohoue received the Janesville Police Department's Police
Officer of the Year Award in 1991, Meritorious Service Citation in 1991, Exemplary
Service Citation in 1999, and the Award of Excellence in 2003 and 2009; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville
be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Brian Donohoue for
his more than thirty -two years of loyal public service.
