2016-641 REVISED ORDINANCE NO. 2016 -641
An ordinance amending Chapter 18 of the Code of General Ordinances to allow Personal Services
as a permitted use in the 01 Office /Residence District, with penalties for violations thereof,
together with injunctive relief and remedies upon default of forfeiture payment as set forth in JGO
18.28.010.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 18.36.030 B.b.xxi of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Janesville is hereby created to read as follows:
xxi. Personal Services Salon, offering services such as hair care, nails, facials, tanning, Myofascial
and massage therapy is permitted except in instances where a single or two - family dwelling is
established as a principle permitted use on the premises. The retail sale of beauty supplies or
products is permitted as an accessory use only.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit,
and police power so requiring.
