2016-1285 RESOLUTION NO. 2016 -1285 A resolution granting underground utility easements across City -owned property adjoining STH 11 and CTH G to Alliant Energy (File Resolution No. 2016 - 1285). WHEREAS, the Dollar General distribution facility at the intersection of CTH G and Innovation Drive represents a major economic development project for the Janesville community; and WHEREAS, Alliant Energy has determined that three -phase electric service must be extended to serve the Dollar General distribution facility; and WHEREAS, Alliant Energy has identified a utility easement corridor across City -owned property north of and adjoining the STH 11 right -of -way and west of and adjoining the CTH G right -of- way that is adequate for said electric service extension; and WHEREAS, future industrial development sites located within TIF District 35 will benefit from the utility service extension; and WHEREAS, there is no cost to the City of Janesville for the electric service extension; and WHEREAS; the Common Council hereby finds the granting of the proposed easements in the desired locations to be a reasonable request. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE that said Council hereby grants the underground utility easements to Alliant Energy as described in Map 1 attached hereto and made a part hereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and his designee(s) on behalf of the City of Janesville is /are hereby authorized and empowered to negotiate, draft, modify, review, and execute these easements, and enter into additional agreements, record, file and /or make minor modifications and /or amendments to any and all documents, papers, forms, and agreements, and to make whatever other actions as the City Manager may determine, from time to time and at any time, necessary and /or desirable to effectuate the intent of this Resolution and /or project. Being located within said Lot 2 which is located in the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of Section 18, Town 2 North, Range 13 East, City of Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin. Grantor's deed recorded on February 25, 1999, as Document Number 1410426, and Re- recorded on March 15, 1999, as Document Number 1412636, both in the office of the Register of Deeds for Rock County, Wisconsin. CTH G Easement The east ten (10) feet of that part of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section 13, Town 2 North, Range 12 East, City of Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin, that lies immediately west of, and adjacent to, the west margin of CTH "G" according to Transportation Project Plat No: 5966 -10 -01 -4.16 as recorded on June 11, 2014, as Document Number 2005006 and filed in TPP -111, in the office of the Register of Deeds for Rock County, Wisconsin. Grantor's deed recorded on December 22, 2004, as Document Number 1690897, in the office of the Register of Deeds for Rock County, Wisconsin.
