A special meeting of the City Council held at the Municipal Building on October 20, 2003,
at 5:00 p.m.
Council President Williams called the meeting to order. Present: Council President
Williams, Councilmembers Addie, DeGarmo, Murphy, Steeber and Wellnitz. Absent:
Councilmember Brien.
The City Council reviewed the proposed 2004 revenue summary, the 2004 expenditure
summary and the following 2004 budgets: City Council, City Manager, City Assessor, City
Attorney, City Clerk-Treasurer, Finance Department, Human Resources, Information
Technology, Planning, Economic Development and Housing and Neighborhood Services,
Public Works Administration, Maintenance and Repair Programs, Public Buildings, Traffic
Management, Sanitation Fund, Vehicle Operation and Maintenance, Insurance Fund,
Storm Water Utility, Water Utility, Wastewater Utility, Leisure Services and Transit.
During the review of the budgets, the City Council asked various questions. The
Administration will provide the Council with a memo on the status of the bus route serving
Riverview Heights.
Matters not on the agenda. City Manager Sheiffer stated that the October 22, 2003,
Council revised agenda will include the following 2004 proposed budgets: Police, Fire
Capital Projects/Special Assessments, Hedberg Public Library and JATV.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 7:17 p.m.
