2016-1273 RESOLUTION NO. 2016 —1273
Whereas, Lois McKinney has diligently served the people of the City of
Janesville and the community for forty years; ending her service as a Chief Election
Inspector with the City of Janesville City Clerk- Treasurer's Division; and
Whereas, during Lois McKinney's service to the City of Janesville, she provided
exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties
of her position, which she performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
Whereas, Lois McKinney began her service in 1975 for the City of Janesville as
an Election Inspector and worked the polls for ten Presidential Elections, ten
Gubernatorial Elections, and numerous non - partisan elections as a City of Janesville
Election Inspector; and
Whereas, Lois McKinney trained new Chief Election Inspectors, supervised
hundreds of Election Inspectors and ensured that citizens of Janesville had fair and
equal access to the ballot; and
Whereas, Lois McKinney served as a member of the Municipal Board of
Canvass and certified election results for numerous City Council elections; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville
be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Lois McKinney for her
forty years of loyal public service.
