2016-1264 RESOLUTION NO. 2016 —1264
Whereas, Jody Stowers is retiring from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more
than thirty years; retiring as a Captain with the Janesville Fire Department; and
Whereas, during Jody Stowers' employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty,
and dedication; and
Whereas, Jody Stowers began his employment with the Janesville Fire
Department as a firefighter /paramedic; and
Whereas, Jody Stowers was involved in a variety of assignments during his
career including firefighter, paramedic, driver, recruit trainer, hazardous materials
technician, safety committee member, fire inspector, lieutenant, and captain; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville
be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Jody Stowers for his
more than thirty years of loyal public service.
