2016-1261 RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — 1261 Whereas, Paul McBride is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more than twenty -five years; retiring as a Police Officer with the Janesville Police Department; and Whereas, during Paul McBride's employment with the City of Janesville, he provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and Whereas, Paul McBride began his employment with the Janesville Police Department as a Patrol Officer; and Whereas, Paul McBride was involved in a variety of assignments during his career including B Shift Uniform Patrol, A Shift Uniform Patrol, Front Desk Officer, Follow -Up Officer, DVI Officer, Chaplain Program Coordinator, Commendation Committee; and Whereas, Paul McBride was a founding member of the Domestic Violence Intervention Team and provided safety for many victims; and Whereas, Paul McBride received the Janesville Police Department's Police Officer of the Year Award in 2004; and Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly recognized; Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Paul McBride for his more than twenty -five years of loyal public service.
