2016-1269 RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — 1269
Whereas, Mark Johnson is retiring from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for thirty
years; retiring as a Detective with the Janesville Police Department; and
Whereas, during Mark Johnson's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty,
and dedication; and
Whereas, Mark Johnson began his employment with the Janesville Police
Department as a Patrol Officer; and
Whereas, Mark Johnson was involved in a variety of assignments during his
career including C Shift Uniform Patrol, A Shift Uniform Patrol, Field Training Officer,
Detective, Court Officer; Emergency Response Team; and
Whereas, Mark Johnson received the Janesville Police Department's Police
Officer of the Year Award and the Meritorious Service Citation in 1993; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville
be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Mark Johnson for his
thirty years of loyal public service.
