2015-1249 RESOLUTION NO. 2015 — 1249
Whereas, Gary Myers is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more than
thirty -one years; retiring as a Police Officer with the Janesville Police Department; and
Whereas, during Gary Myers' employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty,
and dedication; and
Whereas, Gary Myers ended his employment with the Janesville Police
Department as a Patrol Officer; and
Whereas, Gary Myers was involved in a variety of assignments during his career
including A Shift Uniform Patrol, B Shift Uniform Patrol, he performed Traffic Accident
Reconstructions, managed the Department's call -out software OneCall Now, helped
with the implementation of BadgerTracs 10, and served on the General Order and
Commendation committees; and
Whereas, Gary Myers received the Janesville Police Department's Police Officer
of the Year in 2011; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville
be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Gary Myers for his
more than thirty -one years of loyal public service.
