2015-1213 RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -1213
Whereas, Jean A. Wulf is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for thirty -four years;
retiring as the Clerk- Treasurer for the City of Janesville; and
Whereas, during Jean A. Wulf's employment with the City of Janesville, she
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the
duties of her position, which she performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
Whereas, Jean A. Wulf began her employment with the City of Janesville as an
Accountant 1 in the Finance Department; she served as the Water Utility Accountant,
ensuring compliance with Public Service Commission required reports; was promoted to
City Clerk- Treasurer on May 1, 1989; and
Whereas, Jean A. Wulf served as the City's Chief Election Official supervising over
50 elections, conducting training of hundreds of poll workers, and leading the City's
redistricting efforts three times to ensure the free and fair practice of democracy; and
Whereas, in her capacity as City Clerk- Treasurer, Jean A. Wulf ensured the
investment funds of the City were invested in vehicles that preserved principal while
maximizing returns to protect taxpayers; and
Whereas, the Clerk- Treasurer's Office is the main point of resident contact with the
City and Jean A. Wulf implemented policies and procedures guaranteeing all citizens were
treated fairly and with dignity and respect; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville, through
the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Jean A. Wulf for her thirty -four
years of loyal public service.
