2015-1211 RESOLUTION NO. 2015 - 1211
Whereas, Anne M. Brophy is retiring from City of Janesville employment
after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the
community for more than thirty -one years; retiring as the Police Sergeant with the
Janesville Police Department; and
Whereas, during Anne M. Brophy's employment with the City of
Janesville, she provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated
conscientious devotion to the duties of her position, which she performed with
skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and
Whereas, Anne M. Brophy began her employment with the Janesville
Police Department as a Patrol Officer and during her career was promoted to the
rank of Sergeant; and
Whereas, Anne M. Brophy was involved in a variety of assignments
during her career including Field Training Officer, D.A.R.E. Officer, Crime
Prevention Officer, Neighborhood Watch Program, Bicycle Officer, Bicycle Unit
Supervisor, Patrol Sergeant, Community Services Sergeant, Investigations
Sergeant, and the Domestic Violence Intervention Team Coordinator; and
Whereas, Anne M. Brophy received the Janesville Police Department's
Police Officer of the Year in 1996 and the Award of Excellence in 2011; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of
Janesville be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Anne M.
Brophy for her more than thirty -one years of loyal public service.
