2015-603 ORDINANCE NO. 2015 -603
An ordinance amending 18.32.060.H.4.i. (Off- Street Parking) of the Zoning Code of the City of
Janesville, with penalties for violations thereof, together with injunctive relief and remedies upon default
of forfeiture payment as set forth in JGO 18.28.010, and the applicable penalty provisions in JGO
Chapter 18.36.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 18.32.060.H.4.i. of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Industrial uses such as production, processing, assembly,
cleaning, servicing, testing or repair of materials, goods or products warehouse and
wholesale, two parking spaces for each three employees on any one shift. However,
space for future parking stalls shall be reserved on the site, but does not need to be
improved to ordinance standards until an increase in employment or change in use
requires the improvement. Such parking reservation shall equal at least one space per
one - thousand square feet of floor area up to 20,000 square feet, plus one space per
two - thousand square feet in excess of 20,000 square feet. The chief building official
may reduce or waive the required parking reservation for industrial uses such as mini -
warehouses, concrete batching plants, asphalt batching plants or other similar structures
with limited adaptive re -use in the opinion of the chief building offical.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common Council,
the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police power so requiring.
