2015-1164 RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -1164 A resolution authorizing the sale of City land to Rock County for reconstruction of CTH G located south of the State Highway 11 Bypass WHEREAS, the City of Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin, is the owner of real property located in the southeast part of the City along CTH G, legally described as follows: Parcel 51 of Transportation Project Plat 5966 -10 -01 — 4.14, recorded in Transportation Project Plats, TPP 109, Document 2005004; 4.15 Amendment No. 1, recorded in Transportation Project Plats, TPP 144, Document 2013339; 4.16, recorded in Transportation Project Plats, TPP 111, Document 2005006; 4.17 Amendment No. 1, recorded in Transportation Project Plats, TPP 145, Document 2013340, all recorded in Rock County, Wisconsin; and WHEREAS, the County of Rock finds, in order to accommodate the reconstruction of CTH G, a portion of land owned by the City of Janesville is needed for road purposes; and WHEREAS, the County of Rock in consideration of said land sale, has agreed to provide compensation to the City of Janesville based on the fair market value of the property as established by a certified appraisal; and WHEREAS, on January 19, 2015, the Janesville Plan Commission reviewed the sale of land to Rock County and found it to be consistent with City plans, but did not review the financial aspects of this transaction; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Janesville that they hereby approve and authorize the City Manager and /or his designee(s), on behalf of the City of Janesville, to sell and convey, and to close upon, the City's sale and conveyance in fee simple of the above described real property to Rock County to accommodate the reconstruction of CTH G south of the State Highway 11 Bypass; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and /or his designee(s) may, from time to time, negotiate, draft, amend, execute and enter into such contracts, documents, agreements and amendments, and to take such other actions as the City Manager and /or his designees may deem from time to time necessary or desirable to effectuate the intent of this resolution.
