2015-1157 RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -1157
Whereas, Patricia D. Tobin is retiring from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more
than twenty -five years; retiring as the Recreation Programmer at the Senior Center for
the City of Janesville; and
Whereas, during Patricia's employment with the City of Janesville, she provided
exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties
of her position, which she performed with sincerity, honesty, integrity, and dedication;
and
Whereas, on November 13, 1989, Patricia began employment with the City of
Janesville as a Recreation Aide at the Senior Center. Patricia held the position of
Recreation Coordinator for a short period and was reassigned to Recreation
Programmer in 2001, which position she has held until her retirement on January 2,
2015; and
Whereas, Patricia brought many skills and abilities with her to the Senior Center
which she selflessly shared with the citizens of Janesville, in the many events and
classes, most notably in painting and drawing, she has coordinated and /or instructed for
the Senior Center; and
Whereas, Patricia was instrumental in putting together the Water Street Band
Jam, an informal musical gathering; and the Rivers Edge Dulcimer Players, a mountain
dulcimer class; and
Whereas, Patricia was a major contributor to the 2000 renovation of the Senior
Center; and
Whereas, it is desired that such service to the City of Janesville be properly
recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Patricia D. Tobin for
her more than twenty -five years of loyal public service.
