2003-179ORDINANCE NO. 2003-179 An Ordinance amending danesville General Ordinance Section 1.16 so as to empower the superintendent of the danesville school district to issue truancy related citations to truants and habitual truants for violations of danesville General Ordinance Chapter 9. 52, bond amounts, and changing Statute numbers to conform to current Wisconsin Statutes. THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. Section 1.16.010 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville is hereby amended to read as follows: "1.16.010 Authorization for use of citation. Pursuant to the authority granted by Section 66.0113, Wisconsin Statutes, as from time to time renumbered or amended, the use of a citation to be issued for violations of ordinances including, but not limited to, ordinances for which a statutory counterpart exists is authorized." SECTION II. Section 1.16.020 G. of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville is hereby created to read as follows: "Section 1.16.020 G. Superintendent of the Janesville School District and/or his/her designees" SECTION III. Section 1.16.040 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville is hereby amended to read as follows: "1.16.040 Schedule of cash deposits. The schedule of cash deposits for the various ordinances for which a citation may be issued are as follows: Ordinance Violated Cash Deposit Permitted Chapter 8.24 Fire hazards--Theaters, hotels and nursing homes $300 Chapter 8.32 Fire code 300 Chapter 8.34 Smoke Detector Ordinance 300 Chapter 8.36 Fire regulation 300 Chapter 8.60 Nuisance 300 Chapter 9.52 Truancy/Habitual Truancy up to Chapter 10.36 Vehicles and Traffic 300 Chapter 12.24 Street, Sidewalks & Public Property 300 Chapter 18.32 Zoning Code 300 Title 14 Signs 300 Title 15 Building code 300 Title 16 Housing code 300 $5O0 In addition to the amount listed, the deposit must include the penalty assessment, costs and other relief and amounts required or permitted by law, as from time to time amended." SECTION IV. This Ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon adoption by the Janesville Common Council, the public health, welfare, safety, peace, tranquility and good order so requiring.
