2000-102RESOLUTION NO. 2000-102 A Resolution Adopting Revised City Council Policy Nos. 63, 70 and 78 To Recover 100% of the Cost of Streets, Sidewalks and Street Lights in New Developments. WHEREAS, the City of Janesville Common Council find that a policy on assessing the entire cost of constructing streets, sidewalks, and street lights to property owners and developers is appropriate as a guide for the City Administration; and WHEREAS, the Janesville Common Council find that the guidelines and directives included as part of the revised City Council Policy Nos. 63, 70 and 78 are a fair and equitable means of financing the cost of constructing streets, sidewalks and street lights; and WHEREAS, the Janesville Common Council find that the Administration shall follow these policy guidelines and directives when presenting street, sidewalk, and street light projects to the Common Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Janesville that City Council Policy Statements Nos. 63, 70 and 78 be revised to read as follows: "CITY OF JANESVILLE Policy No. 63 Page 1 of 16 CITY COUNCIL POLICY STATEMENT General Subject: Administration Specific Subject: Special Assessments for Public Works Improvements Date Issued Effective Date PURPOSE: To clarify and establish Council policy in regard to the administration of the City's Special Assessment program for Public Works improvement projects.
