2014-1143 RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -1143
A Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Proceed with the Sale of Property Located at
116 Oakland Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville owns the following described parcel:
116 Oakland - SHUMWAY'S S.D. LOT 4; JC6006121
WHEREAS, The Plan Commission reviewed the proposed future use of the properties during the
acquisition reviews on September 17, 2012; and
WHEREAS, The City Council gave Neighborhood and Community Services parameters for sales
prices during a Closed Session meeting on August 26, 2013; and
WHEREAS, The Offers to Purchase fell within those price parameters; and
WHEREAS, The Offers to Purchase are as follows:
116 Oakland Ave - $1,000.00 (One thousand dollars); and
WHEREAS, the sale of these surplus properties is in the best interest of and benefit to the City and
community; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of Janesville that it
hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City of
Janesville, the sale of such properties; and to negotiate and execute such documents, papers and
forms as may from time to time be necessary and /or desirable to effectuate such transaction and the
intent of this resolution as the City Manager may decide; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to take whatever other
actions or to make whatever other minor changes that may be necessary to effectuate these land
transactions.
