A resolution recognizing Thomas J. Stehura for his loyal and
conscientious service to the City of Janesville as a City
Coun ci lmember.
WHEREAS, Thomas J. Stehura has served the City of Janesville from
1981 to 2000 as a Member of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stehura has served the most consecutive terms of
office as a Councilmember since the Council-Manager form of
government was instated in 1923; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stehura served as Council President in 1984, 1985, and
1999; and
WHEREAS, during his term of office, Mr. Stehura has served as a
member of various boards, committees, and commissions in the City;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stehura's deep concern for the community, its citizens
and their welfare has characterized his tenure in office
throughout; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stehura has always performed the duties of a member of
the City Council with an exemplary level of dedication, honesty,
and integrity;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Janesville presents this commendation to Thomas J. Stehura in
sincere appreciation for his loyal and conscientious service to the
City of Janesville.
