2014-1125 FILE RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -1125
A resolution recognizing July 17th, 2014 as the 50th anniversary of Blackhawk Golf
Course
WHEREAS, Blackhawk Golf Course is a City- owned, nine -hole golf course opened for play on
July 17th, 1964; and
WHEREAS, Blackhawk Golf Course winds along Spring Brook Creek and features old, stately
oak trees and finely manicured playing conditions; and
WHEREAS, Blackhawk Golf Course is one of Wisconsin's finest and most popular nine -hole
facilities; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of Janesville
that July 17th, 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of Blackhawk Golf Course. Furthermore,
KemperSports should be commended for their excellent management, operation, and
maintenance of Blackhawk Golf Course as a top -notch recreational facility for the Janesville
community.
