A resolution vacating a portion of South Willard Avenue right-of-way.
WHEREAS, a portion of South Willard Avenue right-of-way hereinafter designated and previously
dedicated for street right-of-way purposes is hereby determined to be no longer needed for public use, and
therefore, the public interest requires the vacation of such street right-of-way portion; and
WHEREAS, owners of the adjoining property to the west desire to combine the right-of-way to their
property; and
WHEREAS, the proposed street right-of-way vacation has been referred to the Plan Commission for its
consideration and report as required by 62.23(5), Wisconsin Statutes; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the vacation of such street right-of-way portion and notice
required by Wisconsin Statutes 66.296 has been timely published and served.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JANESVILLE that the following described street right-of-way portion be and is hereby vacated and
discontinued pursuant to 66.296 and 66.22(lm), Wisconsin Statutes:
A parcel of land located in the NW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 2, Town 2 North, Range 12 East, City of
Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin, described as follows:
Beginning at the NE comer of Lot 1, Block 3 of River Heights Addition to the City of Janesville also
being the south R/W line of West State St, thence continuing on the R/W line extended Northeasterly,
40'; thence Southeasterly and perpendicular to said south R/W line, to a point where the south line of said
Lot 1 extended to the Northeast intersects said perpendicular line; thence Southeasterly to the SE comer
of Lot 3, Block 3 of said River Heights Addition, being the West R/W line of S. Willard Ave; thence
Northwesterly along the east lines of Lot 3, Lot 2 and Lot 1, all of Block 3, of said River Heights
Addition, 249.3' to the Point of Beginning, containing approximately 5880 sq. ft. (0.13 ac.).
