2003-356RESOLUTION # 2003 - 356 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GIFT OF LAND FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES WHEREAS, the Parker Community Credit Union has agreed to gift approximately .08 acres of land which they own located at 1101 N. Parker Drive in the City of Janesville, County of Rock, State of Wisconsin, legally described in Attachment A hereto, to the City of Janesville; and WHEREAS, said acceptance of this gift of land by the City of Janesville is in the City's best interest and consistent with City plans; and WHEREAS, such gift and acceptance are empowered by sections 62.22 (1), 62.23 (17), 66.0101 and 62.11 (5) of the Wisconsin Statutes; and WHEREAS, the Janesville Plan Commission has reviewed this gift of land at their meeting on the 17th day of June 2002, finding it consistent with long range City plans. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Janesville, that they hereby authorize and direct the City Manager and the City Clerk, and/or his/her designee, to negotiate, enter into and accept on behalf of the City of Janesville, the gift of land and enter into this transaction, land use, and purpose as contemplated herein; to accept said gift of land; and to negotiate, execute and enter into such additional documents, papers, amendment(s), and forms on behalf of the City of Janesville as, from time to time, may be necessary and/or desirable to effectuate such transaction(s) and the intent of this resolution as the City Manager may decide; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager and his designees are hereby authorized to administratively take whatever other action and make whatever minor changes to these transactions, deeds, and related documents on behalf of the City of Janesville, that the City Manager may, from time to time, find necessary and/or desirable to effectuate the intent of this resolution.
