2014-1066 Resolution No. 2014 - 1066 Resolution Approving a proposed tentative 2013 — 2015 Labor Agreement By and Between the City of Janesville and Teamsters Local Number 695 WHEREAS, the City of Janesville, Wisconsin, is a home -rule city incorporated under and operating under the Constitution and laws of the State of Wisconsin, Chapter 64 of the Wisconsin Statutes, and a certain Charter Ordinance specific for Janesville; and WHEREAS, the City of Janesville is a collective bargaining city and unit of government under Chapter 111.70, Subchapter IV, of the Wisconsin Statutes; and WHEREAS, the existing and operative 2011 -2012 Labor Agreement between the City of Janesville and Teamsters Local Number 695 expired on December 31, 2012; and WHEREAS, the City and Teamsters Local Number 695 have been engaged in the good faith collective bargaining process for a successor Labor Agreement; and WHEREAS, the City and Teamsters Local Number 695 have reached a tentative agreement to the terms of a successor 2013 — 2015 Labor Agreement, a true and correct photocopy of which is attached hereto, reiterated, and incorporated herein by reference as if fully set forth verbatim [with the changes between the two agreements highlighted], which tentative agreement was unanimously ratified by the membership of Teamsters Local Number 695 on Sunday, the 22 day of December 2013; and WHEREAS, the proposed tentative successor agreement is recommended by the City Administration for Common Council approval, which Council find it in the City's best interests and of benefit to the community and taxpayers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Janesville that they hereby approve the attached proposed tentative 2013 — 2015 Labor Agreement By and Between the City of Janesville and Teamsters Local Number 695; and further direct the City Administration to execute same and implement the Agreement's terms, conditions, and provisions on behalf of the City of Janesville and Common Council.
